Our residents loved getting involved and singing a variety of different songs, including ‘Country Roads’, ‘Sweet Caroline’ & ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’

BURN’S NIGHT CELEBRATIONS!
Scottish Theme Day!
We have been very busy this month preparing for our Theme Day – Burn’s Night! We have had weekly activity clubs across site to prepare Scottish themed decorations – a favourite across site was Scottish Flag Painting where we were able to upcycle an old bed sheet into a fabulous patriotic Scottish Flag! We also made a variety of other decorations across site, including flags, bunting, posters & handmade tartan designs!
On Wednesday 25th January, we decorated the units with the materials we had made and celebrated the 264th birthday of the Scottish poet & lyricist Robbie Burns!
We all celebrated the event together at Nevis House with an afternoon of Burns Night Celebrations, including traditional Scottish Bagpipe Music, Shortbread Tasting, Arts & Crafts, Pass the Scottish Bear and a Photobooth with our handmade Scottish Flag!
We also enjoyed an evening meal of traditional Haggis with ‘Neeps and Tatties!’
